triPica enters Italy to empower energy utilities with agility to offer new services, faster time-to-market and reduced service cost

Paris, France – [18th November 2025] – triPica, a leading European provider of innovative SaaS customer engagement and billing solutions for the energy and telecommunications sectors, today announced its official entry into the Italian market, following its success in reshaping the French and German energy sectors with faster innovation and new digital models for both B2C and B2B retailers.

Its first customer in Italy is Primeo Energie, whom triPica empowered to build its fast-growing B2C energy business in France.

Challenges in a competitive energy market

Italy is one of Europe's most advanced and competitive energy markets, having entered full liberalisation with the end of the maggior tutela regime in 2024.

Italy has more than 700 electricity and 460 gas retailers competing in a market characterized by high energy prices and shrinking margins.

Furthermore, Italy leads Europe in smart-meter penetration (over 95%). This generated a huge amount of data that retailers are eager to monetize through innovative offers, which they are currently unable to deploy quickly due to the limitations of legacy Customer Information Systems (CIS) platforms.

Speed, efficiency, and customer-centric innovation
